Elections and Voting
Candidates for the Township Council are elected in the General Elections in November. They first must win their political party’s nomination in the June Primary Elections. School Board elections are non-partisan and are held in April. In order to vote, you must be registered to vote. You can register at Town Hall during regular office hours or on special evenings as announced by the Township. Please call 428-3000 for more information. East Hanover is divided into eight voting districts. Voters residing within those districts vote at the Polling Places specified below:

| #2 | So. Side of Rt. #10 from Livingston to West End Mt. Pleasant to Florham Park on the North. |
| #3 | So. Side of Callahan to No. Side Troy Road from West Side of Ridgedale including the No. Side of Troy from Kahl & Schoener to Town Line. |
| #4 | East Side of River Road from Lincoln St. to Route 10. |
| #5 | West side of Ridgedale from No. Side of Callahan to Parsippany Line. |
| #6 | West side of Ridgedale from No. Side of Callahan to Parsippany Line. |
| #7 | No. Side of McKinley to Rt. 10 from West Side of River to both sides of Ridgedale including So. Side of Troy Road to Walter Ave. |
| #8 | From So. Side of Rt. 10 beginning at West End of Mt. Pleasant to Whippany Line & South to Florham Park. |
