Senior Citizen's Center
East Hanover has on of the finest Senior Citizens club in Morris County and has a current membership of more than 250 Senior Citizen Residents. The Senior Citizens Center facility is located on Mount Pleasant Avenue at the traffic light at Hanover Road and adjacent to the historic First Presbyterian Church.
The Senior Citizens Center is supported by the Township and is managed by the Senior Citizens Club. The club elects a President and Officers every year. There are two meetings each month, on the second and fourth Monday at 11:00 a.m. The first part of the meeting is business, which is then followed by a social gathering.
The Center is open five days a week and offers various game rooms for shuffleboard, billards, cards, bingo, music, television and dancing.
There are planned activities such as bus rides and parties. Included are a variety of health programs and other programs of interest to the members. Transportation service is also available.
Membership is open to residents 60 and over. There is an annual membership fee of $10.00. Additional information may be obtained by calling 428-3060.
